Vapid Meaninglessness

The chief end of man is to have a good time. Or so it would seem. Clubbing, drinking, drugging and Sexing appear to have become the pinnacle of human existance. If these are the greatest 'highs' to which men can aspire then we are in a very sorry state indeed.

Life's greatest tragedy has to be completely missing the point of it. Of course there's nothing wrong with enjoying the moment (within certain boundaries) but if that's all we do and never look beyond the here and now then our life will indeed end as a tragic waste, regardless of what we achieve.

Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life...". Either he was a lunatic for saying so or he is well worth knowing. Don't leave it to chance. Walk the way worth walking, know the truth worth knowing and live a life that is truely worth living!

MJ

Michael Jackson; A seamless link between black and white? In the light of Michael’s death many glowing eulogies have been paid in memory of him. Some have proclaiming that he united black and white culture with his universally appreciated beats.

While I don’t deny that you would struggle to find many music fans in the world who don’t appreciate his music. The concept of him paying a significant part in the unification of black and white cultures is something that I fail to appreciate.

His ever fading skin pigment and morphing facial features speak louder than he himself ever did about his own appearance. He appearance told me (in a private gagged interview) that he was a man who took no pride in his African heritage. His song ‘It Doesn’t Matter If You’re Black or White’ incriminates rather than justifies him. He certainly bridged numerous cultures musically, yet he did little more than that. He was an entertainer not a politician. He was no Nelson Mandela.

A man of infinite paradoxes; shrouded in mystery. Life’s greatest mystery; death inevitably claimed Michael, maybe sooner than expected. While many mourn the tragedy of Michael’s passing too few seem concerned with their own impending demise. Nonetheless death awaits us all whether we spend our lives trying to ignore our inevitable fate or not. Surely if something is certain then logic when says ‘prepare for it’ we’d best listen.

‘The heavens declare his righteousness’ so get to know your God before it’s too late. Sadly it seems Michael made this fatal error. Don’t make it yourself. To live and miss the whole point of life has to be the greatest tragedy of all.

With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility...Sometimes...

It is rare these days to find one of 'us' willing to exploit our powers in full public view. However I believe that there is no time like the present. If we wait much longer without revealing something of what we are capable of our secrets may well die with us. This would be an unnoticed tragedy with potentially epic reprecussions .

Observe therefore a small sample of the power which I have been blessed with:

Now that you are aware of what I can do I would like to ask, how could my powers be best used? Clearly not in making small ducks appear in domestic sinks, but how?

The great Edgar Bergen once famously said; "OK, magic boy, let's see who you really are." Now I concur he wasn't speaking directly to me when he uttered those words yet nonetheless the implications of this statement are quite evident. Who am I really? Am I merely a birthday magician, who can make ducks appear with a click of my fingers, or am I far more than that? Let me spell it out for you. I have the power to make virtually anything appear or disappear with merely a focusing of my brain and a click of my fingers. Our achievements are only limited by our imagination. I could do seismic things, pushing our international knowledge of all things magical to new boundaries. So beloved reader, tell me; where, when and how to start?

Truth?

Whats is Truth? Most people would agree that Truth is a verified or indisputable fact, proposition, principle, or the like.

However society increasingly seems to be embracing the idea that there is such a thing as relative Truth, that everyone can have their own individual Truths so whats true for you may not be true for me.

If you say that what someone believes cannot be true then you are branded as intolerant. Surely true tolerance is accepting that we all believe contrasting things which cannot possibly all be correct and discussing them rationally in an attempt to ascertain the truth.

For example Christianity and Islam cannot possibly both be true. Some people would say that they are both different ways of getting to the same god. However if you look at Christianity and Islam their Gods are so fundamentally different that they cannot possible be the same.

Any thoughts?

Hunter...

I've just watched Hunter, a two part special about the kidnapping of two boys. The program broached the subject of abortion from a very interesting perspective. Two mothers, who have both had abortions in the past, have their sons kidnapped by an pro-life (anti-abortion) group called Sacred. They say that unless their graphic anti-abortion video is shown on all the BBC news broadcasts they will terminate the lives of these two boys by lethal injection.

This creates a very interesting and (one would hope) fairly improbable paradox. If these people truely believed in the absolute sanctity of life, as they claim they do, then their is absolutely no chance that they would even consider killing these boys. Yet they do. So they are themselves using the same means as those they are opposing to get their message across, effective maybe but utterly hypocritical.

Still the program highlights something which society today seems completely oblivious and uncorncerned about. Abortion. Pro-choice supporters argue that it is the mothers right to choose. Yet surely in 99% of cases the mother has already made the choice by having sex. The easily access to abortion is creating a society of irresponsible people with no real regard for the true value and sanctity of life.
My mother has no right at all to terminate my life now, and I am no more human now than I was in the womb. Yet somehow it is deemed to be perfectly acceptable to kill these unborn children. Many comparisons could and have been made to the attrocities of the holocaust. The only difference is that most of the murders going on now are pre-birth murders and the numbers of those killed has already eclipsed the numbers who where killed in the holocaust.

People will understandably argue about the dangers of back street abortion clinics and victims of rape, yet lets think about it for a minute. how many mothers died from botched jobs in back street abortion clinics? Significantly less than the 200,000 children aborted a year in the UK. Abortion seems to be handed out like free condoms, if you want an abortion you can have one. You don't need a real reason anymore.

Why does nobody care?
